Spring has Sprung

Well, it's official...Spring is here at the Hendrickson household and I have the pictures to prove it!

Spring soccer has started again! This season we only have Griffen playing with Dean as his coach again! Austin is taking this season off. Three back to back seasons of soccer has been a bit much for him. It is so fun to watch these little guys run around their little micro field and chase the ball and each other and I think Griffen really enjoys having his daddy as his coach.

Saturday after soccer we spent some quality time in our poor forgotten yard. Here are some before and after pictures of our front flower beds. I am looking forward to these pretty flowers growing again! I am hoping that these pictures will also help encourage me to cut back the dead flowers in the fall so that it doesn't take HOURS to clean up in the spring :).

My Monkey is Six

Saturday was Griffen's sixth birthday. He is growing so fast! We had some of his friends over for a very relaxed party (I know I just said"relaxed" about a party with seven 5 and 6 year olds but it was). The kiddos showed up and played for a little while. We had Griffen open his presents and them headed over to the school so that the boys could play with Griff's new soccer ball and play on the playground. Then we went back to the house, ate some cake and ice cream, and then they played out in the backyard until their parents came. It was loud but fun. Here are a few pictures from the fun. Enjoy!

I keep trying to tell Griff that he was supposed to go backwards in age this year but he didn't seem to listen :). Well, at least he is still my little snuggler. He likes to curl up on my lap while we watch tv and I will take that as long as I can!
