Foster Liscence Update

Just a quick note to update you all on our journey toward foster parenting and adoption. We had another home visit from a social worker yesterday (Tuesday). When she scheduled this meeting she had mentioned that she would want to talk with the boys and that she was wanting to "finish up" our home study. Well, she arrived just after 2:00 and went over a couple of worksheets that she needed done (these are actually for the adoption end of the process). She collected the rest of our paperwork that we finished up the night before and asked us a few more questions. While Dean went to get Austin from school, she looked around the house to see where we are planning on putting the newest kiddo. Then after a little bit more conversation she left. She told us that she might come back one more time and that our actual liscensor would come for a visit which is when I assume they will be checking to make sure that we have everything up to their codes. So, once again it feels like we are sailing through this process and who knows what will happen next. Thank you to all who are praying, we so appreciate all the prayers!

Great job on the foster care & adoption road!! We fostered and adopted a sibling group, and it was very smooth sailing and definately worth it. The state and the children are definately in need of good families. We were able to adopt the first kids that came in to our home, so we were very lucky, but I know it doesn't always happen that way, so THANK YOU for taking the emotional chance to open up your home to a child that needs it, whether for just a season or for life. Good job and God Bless you and your family.

Thank you for your encouraging words. I am most definately truting God with this since on my own I fret and stew about it. I love hearing from others who have been down this road.
